Susan’s Pilates instruction adds a most enjoyable challenge to my week even as I enter my 70th year. I have experienced an incredible improvement in my strength and balance helping me cope with vertigo. Susan’s individual attention is invaluable. My only regret is that I did not meet Susan many years ago.Premiere Pilates studio has great natural light, is quiet and is a totally private space. BS
...Since working with Susan, I have been challenged with every session. Susan is gifted at honing in on my
specific weaknesses and working with me to improve and strengthen. She formulates a different workout
every session. Her studio is well equipped, clean and peaceful—exactly the sort of place that encourages
concentration and focus. As a STOTT PILATES trained professional, Susan emphasizes form and
communicates in a very clear fashion. I think Susan has helped me get closer to my fitness goals. I feel
fortunate to have Susan as my trainer and am very grateful that I have the opportunity to work with her every
week. RS
Pilates with Susan Kimmell is a wonderful, positive, and rejuvenating experience. Her teaching method is
highly professional with a kind and encouraging touch. Workouts with Susan are always a highlight of my
day. SB
I am close to 70 years old, and Pilates keeps me feeling younger than I really am. Pilates has helped me in
many ways including improving my lower back issues by stretching and strengthening my abdominal
muscles and keeping me flexible and limber. As an instructor, Susan knows her exercises perfectly, but
more importantly, she knows her clients’ wishes and issues and gears her sessions to each client. She is
able to tweek the routines to make sure her clients get the most out each session. I have recommended
Susan to all my friends and acquaintances. SH
Susan is a wonderful, knowledgeable instructor who develops each workout to push you to your fullest
potential. She truly cares about her clients. SP
I was encouraged to try Pilates by both a physical therapist and orthopedic surgeon to prepare for and
rehabilitate after back surgery… I was fortunate enough to find Susan Kimmell. She is always conscious of
my limitations… but she is also not afraid to challenge me. I trust her, which speaks volumes, and I love her
teaching style. I recommend Susan very highly. SS
As one matures, it is important to maintain core strength. Susan has made me more aware of my muscles (I
can even name some of them!) and how they help me accomplish what I want to do. My posture has
improved; I do my everyday tasks with greater awareness and apply Pilates principles to my other exercise
activities. Susan knows what adjustments need to be made to get the most benefit from each exercise I
always feel energized when I leave her studio. JS
I was your typical “gym rat”. Having grown up with the Jane Fonda revolution of aerobics and then weight
lifting/cardio in the mid 90’s I thought I was in shape! Then after turning 45 I hurt myself lifting 5lb hand
weights. I pulled a group of muscles in the mid-back area and was in extreme pain. I went through extensive
physical therapy for about three months and could not figure out how I did the damage……..Then I hurt
myself again! Same place, same symptoms, same pain. This time I chose to explore something I had read
about and researched – Pilates. I met Susan a year and a half ago when she took me on as a client and
very patiently shared with me the key principles of Pilates. I have never been so challenged in my life! Make
no mistake –with Pilates you can’t “mail it in” –the mind muscle connection has to present at all times – you
learn to breath – you learn to engage muscles you never realized you had. You learn smaller is better – A
principle so foreign to me as I explored this new method of exercise. With Pilates I now walk taller, have no
pain and continue to become stronger as the months go by. With Susan’s excellent teaching methods and
strong belief in the Pilates philosophy I have learned things about fitness and wellness that I never knew
existed. JO
I came to Pilates as a last ditch effort for my posture… Susan transformed my quest for posture into an
entirely new way of thriving for me. On day one, Susan told me that each hour would go by quickly and
pleasantly – and you know what – it does. EO
Susan has all of the qualifications you would like to see for someone who is developing your Pilates
experience. With her knowledge and experience, she is able to mold a program to your individual needs
based on your physical profile and/or limitations. She is able to tailor the program such that the sessions
continue to be interesting and challenging. Susan is dedicated to making each session a productive one, yet
accomplished with a keen sense of humor such that the time seems to pass surprisingly quickly. BK
I love Pilates because it is constantly challenging and the results are consistently progressive. The benefits
include strength and toning, flexibility, balance, posture, and an awareness of your body in space that
usually only athletes and dancers have developed. Working with Susan is amazing because she is
constantly challenging me by introducing new exercises, advancing the old ones, and developing new
"cues" so my body can "get it". MM |
